HOW WE GOT HERE:
The Wolfpack took care of business in its opening two rounds with home wins over William & Mary (4-0) and Tennessee (4-1). NC State's decision over the 22nd-ranked Volunteers marked the team's ninth win over a top-25 opponent this year.
NC State has hosted the first two rounds of the national tournament each of the last three times (2019, 2021, 2022), and this year's NCAA Championships event is the Pack's first time earning hosting privileges for the super regional/Round of 16 match.
MORE HISTORY MADE:
After hitting a number of historic milestones in 2022, NC State added a program record to its resume for the year with its win in the Round of 32. The Wolfpack reached 25 victories on the season, marking the most in program history and surpassing the previous record of 24 that was set in 2019.
UP NEXT:
Teams that advance to the Elite Eight will meet at the Khan outdoor Tennis Complex in Urbana, Ill., to finish out the tournament beginning on May 20. The singles and doubles championships will also be played in Illinois from May 23-28 following the conclusion of team competition.
