#Pack9 Remains On The Road This Weekend For Series With Hokies

RALEIGH – No. 20 NC State baseball (18-9, 6-5 ACC) will remain on the road this weekend as it heads to Blacksburg, Va., to match up with No. 23 Virginia Tech (18-7, 5-5 ACC) for a three-games series at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park.
The Wolfpack, who is coming off a series win at Clemson last weekend, and the Hokies, who took two of three at then-No. 18 North Carolina in their most recent conference action, will play Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
All three games will be broadcast on ACCNX and there will be an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

Saturday – RHP Matt Willadsen (NCSU) vs. RHP Drue Hackenberg (VT)

NC State has crept back in the national rankings this week, as it is ranked 20th by Collegiate Baseball, 21st by DI Baseball and 25th by USA Today.
This weekend will be NC State's fourth conference series against a ranked opponent, as the Hokies are ranked 23rd in the latest Perfect Game poll.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State was scheduled to host Campbell on Tuesday evening at Doak Field at Dail Park for a midweek contest, but it was canceled due to forecasted weather in the area. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech picked up a 6-2 win over Marshall on Tuesday at home in its last time out.
SERIES HISTORY
NC State and Virginia Tech have met 72 times in program history, with the Pack leading the all-time series, 48-22-2.
The teams last met on April 23-25, 2021, in Raleigh, and NC State earned 3-1, 11-3 and 7-6 wins to sweep the series. It marked the third consecutive sweep for the Pack over the Hokies at Doak Field at Dail Park, dating back to 2013.
The last time the teams squared off in Blacksburg was on March 29-31, 2018, and NC State captured 14-2 and 1-0 victories in the final two games after dropping the series opener, 10-2, to take the series.
NC State has won each of the last nine series meetings, dating back to 2007.
