Tuohy Tabs ACC Co-Track Performer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State track & field sophomore Katelyn Tuohy has been named ACC Co-Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the ACC office on Tuesday. She shares the honor with Mia Barnett of Virginia.

The honors are the second of the outdoor season for the Stony Point, N.Y., native.

Tuohy posted a dominant performance in the women's 5000m at the Virginia Challenge, winning the race with a 15:14.61. The time checks in as the eighth-fastest mark in collegiate history and broke the ACC record that had stood since 2007.

The sophomore's mark beat the second-place finisher by almost 12 seconds and additionally set facility, meet, school and personal records.
