Pack Collects Program-Best 13 All-ACC Indoor Track & Field Academic Team Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Thirteen members of the NC State track & field programs have been named All-ACC Indoor Track & Field Academic honorees, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
2021-22 All-ACC Women's Indoor Track & Field Academic Team
- Sam Bush, Jr. - Business
- Kelsey Chmiel, Gr. - Animal Science
- Michelle Cobb, Gr. - Physiology
- Allie Hays, Gr. - Natural Resources
- Gionna Quarzo, So. - Elementary Education
- Savannah Shaw, Gr. - Communication
- Katelyn Tuohy, Jr. - Business
- Anna Vess, Gr. - Teaching
Chmiel, Hays and Tuohy all qualified for the women's 3000m at the NCAA Championships and ran in the 5000m as well alongside Bush. Bush, Shaw and Vess each traveled to the NCAA Championships to compete in the women's DMR.
Cobb attained Second Team All-ACC status in the women's triple jump at the ACC Championships, and Quarzo achieved the laurels in the women's 5000m.
The honors are the sixth of Cobb's career, tying her for the third-most in program history. Chmiel and Shaw earn the accolades for the fourth time while Tuohy and Vess attain their third laurels.
Bush and Quarzo are two-time honorees with the 2021-22 indoors recognitions, and Hays garners her first honors.Â

- Zach Hughes, So. - Sport Management
- Cameron Murray, Sr. - Communication
Douglas represented the Pack in the men's long jump at NCAAs, earning Second Team All-America status for the second straight year.Â
Gardner, Gavin and Hughes all ran as part of the DMR squad that placed third at the ACC Championships, garnering Second Team All-ACC honors on their way to setting a school record in the event.
Murray ran a 7.73 in the men's 60m hurdles at ACCs, setting a school record and attained Second Team All-ACC honors in the event.
Douglas receives the honors for third time in his career while Murray attains them for the second time. The accolades are the first of their careers for Gardner, Gaynor and Hughes.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC honor roll recognizes all league student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 for the current academic year is set to be released in July.
