
Pack in Sixth After Day One of Wake Forest Invitational

PINEHURST, N.C. – The NC State men's golf team is in sixth place after two rounds of play at the Wake Forest Invitational played at Pinehurst No. 2.
Easton Paxton led the Pack on Day One of the tourney, shooting back-to-back rounds of 72 to sit in a tie for fourth place at four shots over par.
Ethan Choi is next for the Pack in a tie for 18th place after rounds of 75 and 74.
Brandon Einstein is one shot back of Choi in a tie for 21st place.
Carter Graf had the Pack's best round of the day, a one-over par 71 in the second round, and is in a tie for 33rd place, two shots back of Einstein.
Spencer Oxendine is in a tie for 53rd place and Thomas Deal, playing as an individual, is in 62nd place.
Clemson is the team leader through two rounds and has an 11-shot lead on the field. The Pack is in sixth place, but is just four shots back of second-place Duke.
Clemson's Colby Patton has a two-shot lead on the field and is one-over par for the tournament. Paxton is in a three-way tie for fourth place and is three shots back of the leader.
The third and final round starts Tuesday morning with the Pack going off of Hole 1 at 8 a.m.
