
Pack Finishes in a tie for Fourth at Wake Forest Invitational

PINEHURST, N.C. – The NC State men's golf team moved up two positions Tuesday to finish in a tie for fourth place out of 12 teams at the Wake Forest Invitational held at Pinehurst No. 2.
Easton Paxton led the Pack with a top-10 finish, finishing in sixth place at five-over par for the tourney. Paxton shot a one-over par 71 on Tuesday.
Ethan Choi was next for the Pack in a tie for 13th place at 10-over par. Like Paxton, Choi shot a one-over par 71 in the final round.
Carter Graf and Brandon Einstein finished in a tie for 29th place. Graf shot a 74 on Tuesday while Einstein wrapped up his tournament with a 76.
Spencer Oxendine rounded out the NC State lineup in a tie for 54th place.
Playing as an individual, Thomas Deal finished in 65th place.
Clemson won the team title by 16 shots over second-place Duke. Tournament-host Wake Forest finished in third place, eight shots back of the Blue Devils. The Pack finished in a tie with San Francisco for fourth, five shots back of the Demon Deacons.
Clemson's Zach Gordon and Colby Patton tied for medalist honors at two-over par as none of the 66 players in the field shot below par.
The Pack returns to action Sunday when it beings play at the General Hackler Championship held at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
