LAST TIME OUT:
NC State wrapped up a stint of four-straight road matches with wins at Boston College (5-2) and Syracuse (6-1) last weekend. The Wolfpack extended its winning streak to nine matches in a row and has not lost since Feb. 13.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
NC State has maintained its status as the nation's second-ranked team for the last six releases of the ITA team standings. The ranking is the best in program history.
MATCH IMPLICATIONS:
NC State, UNC and Duke each rank in the top five in the league standings, with the Tar Heels and the Wolfpack owning the top two spots. A Friday win against the Blue Devils would mark the Pack's first time beating them in back-to-back seasons. A Sunday win against UNC would be the Pack's first in 24 years and its first time defeating the nation's No. 1 team.
COMING UP:
The Wolfpack hits the road next weekend for a pair of matches in the state of Virginia. The Wolfpack takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Friday, April 8 and the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday, April 10.
