
Wolfpack to Send 10 Entries to NCAA Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Twelve members of the NC State track & field teams have been selected to compete across five events at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, as announced by the NCAA on Tuesday.

Von Douglas will be the first to represent the Pack at NCAAs. The Atlanta, Ga., native is set to compete in the men's long jump for the second-straight season. Douglas' season-best long jump mark of 8.08m (26'6.25") currently ranks second in the nation.
Kelsey Chmiel, Allie Hays and Katelyn Tuohy will each suit up for NC State in the women's 5000m and 3000m and will be joined in the 3000m by Sam Bush.
NC State will send a DMR squad to the meet as well consisting of Bush, Savannah Shaw, Anna Vess, Jada Griffin. At the ACC Championships, a DMRÂ team of Bush, Griffin, Vess and Chmiel set a school record of 10:58.10Â on their way to a third-place finish.
Chris Alexander rounds out the group of selections and will make his first trip to the National meet to compete in the men's triple jump.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will run March 11-12 in Birmingham, Ala.
