
NC State Concludes Black & Gold Invitational Competition

ORLANDO, Fla. - The NC State track & field teams concluded their first weekend of outdoor action at the Black & Gold Invitational on Saturday.
JUMPS
Michelle Cobb placed first in the women's triple jump with a distance of 12.86mw (42'2.25") for the placement, and her mark ranks first in the nation.
SPRINTS
Two members of the Wolfpack ran the men's 100m. Marcus Odums notched a PR of 11.45 while William Sistruck finished with a personal-best 11.50 in the event.
THROWS
Mahkayla Hart tabbed a personal best in the women's shot put at 12.57m (41'3"). She enters the record book with the mark as her throw checks in as 10th-best in program history.
In the men's section of the shot put, Lance Penegar charted a 15.32m (50'3.25") throw for a PR.
In the women's hammer throw, Makala Wright earned a place in NC State record book with the ninth-farthest throw in program history, 48.25m (158'4").
Kayla Beasley posted a personal best in the event at 45.74m (150'1").
Andrew Haberman recorded the fifth-best toss in NC State history with a 58.07m (190'6") in the men's section of the weigh throw.
In his first time competing in the event, Penegar set a mark of 48.61m (159'6").
