Pack Finishes in a Tie for Sixth Place at General Hackler

Paxton led the Pack with a top-20 finish
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The NC State men's golf team finished in sixth place out of 15 teams at the General Hackler Championship played at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
Easton Paxton led the Pack with a three-round score of three-under par. The Riverton, Wyo., native got better every round throughout the tournament. After shooting a one-over par in the first round, Paxton took two shots off in the second round, shooting a one-under par, and shaved two more shots off on Monday in the final round, shooting a final round score of three-under par.
Maximilian Steinlechner finished one shot back of Paxton in a tie for 21st place. Steinlechner shot an opening round 69, had a 73 in the middle round and finished even-par Monday.
Ethan Choi finished in a tie for 26th place at one-under par through 54 holes. Choi bounced back from a tough first round by shooting even-par in the second round and then shot a five-under par 67 on Monday in the third and final round.
The 67 was the lowest round by an NC State golfer this tournament and tied for the lowest round of Choi's season.
Carter Graf finished in a tie for 53rd at six-over par. Graf improved every round, finishing with a final scorecard of 75-74-73.
Spencer Oxendine was one shot behind Graf in a tie for 56th place. Oxendine shot two-over 74 in the first and second round and a 75 in the final round.
Competing as an individual, Brandon Einstein finished in a tie for 53rd at six-over par.
NC State returns to action Sunday, March 27 when it begins play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C.
