Pack Finishes in tie for Seventh at Watersound Invitational

Easton Paxton recorded his second top-10 of the season
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The NC State men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at Watersound Invitational held at Shark's Tooth Golf Club.
Easton Paxton led the Pack with his second top-10 performance of the season, finishing in ninth place at three-under par. The senior recorded rounds of one-under par 71 in all three rounds.
Maximilian Steinlechener was next for the Pack in a tie for 16th place. Steinlechner had the Pack's low score on Tuesday, posting a two-under par 70 and finished the tournament with a final scorecard of 71-74-70 to finish one-under par.
Spencer Oxendine finished in a tie for 28th place at two-over par for the tournament. Oxendine was even-par through two rounds and shot a two-over par 74 on Tuesday.
Brandon Einstein finished in a tie for 62nd place at 13-over par. Einstein's second round score of two-under par 70 tied with Steinlechner's third round for the lowest round by an NC State golfer.
Ethan Choi rounded out the NC State lineup in 66th palce at 15-over par.
Georgia Tech won the team competition by five shots over Alabama. Notre Dame finished in third place, four shots back of the Crimson Tide.
NC State finished in a tie for seventh with sixth-ranked Arkansas.
Alabama's Canon Claycomb cruised to the individual title, winning by eight shots.
The Pack is back in action Monday, March 7 when it begins play at Pinehurst in the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst No. 2
