Recent Wolfpack-Panthers Battles
Since the Panthers joined the ACC for the 2014 season, NC State holds a 6-2 record in the conference match-ups, having won the last two and the last three meetings at Pitt.
Â
Last year, the Pack won in Reynolds vs. #12 Pitt, 27-6, and also won at #10 Pitt in 2020, 21-12. The Panthers are the last team to win a dual in Reynolds Coliseum (2019 - 18-16), as NC State has won 11 in a row since that loss.
Â
Dual Dominance
This season, NC State has outscored its foes 313-73 (31.3-7.3). NC State has claimed victory in 78 of the 100 individual matches (78.0%), and 42 wins (53.8%) have been for bonus points. In ACC action this year, the Pack has won 19 of the 20 individual matches and outscored Duke and Virginia by a combined 75-2.
Â
Road Warriors
While the Pack enjoys the comforts of Reynolds Coliseum, 31-3 since the $35 million renovation prior to the 2016-17 season, NC State has also been all business on the road. Over the last three seasons, NC State has won 14 of its last 15 road duals, and is 32-3 in road duals dating back over the last seven seasons.
Â
This season, the Pack is a perfect 4-0 in road duals, outscoring those foes 133-25, and has won 33 of the 40 individual matches (82.5%).
Â
Dating back to the 2015-16 season, NC State has won 52 of its 58 duals (89.7%) away from Raleigh (32-3 on the road, 20-3 neutral sites).
