
Chapman Sets Pentathlon School Record on First Day of Bob Pollock Meet

CLEMSON, S.C. - The NC State track & field teams continued their successful seasons on Friday, competing at the Bob Pollock Meet.
MULTI-EVENTSÂ
Senior Timara Chapman took down the women's pentathlon school record, totaling 4008 points across the events. She placed fifth or higher in all five events.
Chapman charted PRs in the 60m hurdles (8.55) and long jump (5.90m, 19'4.25") during the competition, taking third in the 60m hurdles and high jump and claiming first place in the long jump. Her long jump mark ranks ninth in NC State history.
Mikieja Covington placed fifth overall in the pentathlon, posting a personal-best mark of 5.87m (18'11.75") in the long jump.
JUMPS
Three women posted personal-best marks in the long jump, led by Jirah Sidberry's 6.20m (20'4.25") that ranks seventh in the NC State record book. Nahsheeda Facey (5.46m, 17'11") and Zahra Bichara (5.43m, 17'9.75") each recorded PRs as well.
Von Douglas tabbed an 8.08m (26'6.25") in the men's long jump to replace his own second-best national time and move up in the NC State record book to second in the event. The mar earned him a first-place finish.
Cameron Murray and William Sistruck posted PRs in the long jump as well, Murray earning a 7.34m (24'1") and Sistruck tabbing a 7.06m (23'2").
SPRINTS
Alexander Lang ran a 6.80 in the prelims of the 60m, taking second in his heat to auto-qualify to the semifinals. He went on to run a 6.91 in the semis.
Jada Griffin clocked a 55.03 in the women's 400m, earning a PR that ranks second in NC State history.
