NC State to Continue Season with Home Quad Meet

RALEIGH - The NC State gymnastics program is set to host its second home meet of the season Saturday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. The team will compete against New Hampshire, George Washington and William & Mary in Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.
Fans attending meets are required to wear masks per NC State's Community Standards.

A chalk talk will take place in Room 106 with select Wolfpack Women representatives from 3:15pm-3:40pm.

LAST TIME OUT
The Pack recorded a 195.600 team score in its home opener against Towson to earn its first conference win of the season.Â
Alexis Ortega and Lauren Rutherford earned the first individual titles of their careers at the meet on beam and floor, respectively.Â
NC State improved its team marks from its first meet on three events, scoring a 48.900 on bars, a 49.200 on beam and a 48.900 on floor.Â
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire ranks 44th nationally in average with a 194.108. In their most recent meet, the Wildcats posted a season-high 196.450 to defeat Temple and Penn.Â
Alyssa Worthington garnered EAGL Specialist of the Week honors after her performances at the meet with Temple and Penn. She recorded a 9.975 on beam and a 9.900 on floor, both career highs.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
George Washington checks into the RoadToNationals rankings at No. 35 with an average of 194.538. The team placed third in a quad meet on Jan. 22 with North Carolina, Missouri and Brown, scoring a 194.825.
SCOUNTING THE TRIBE
With an average score of 190.513, William & Mary ranks 60th in the country. The Tribe opened its season with a double-meet weekend, scoring a 191.075 and a 189.950.
UP NEXT
The Wolfpack begins a two-match road stretch with a trip to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a tri-meet with Pitt and West Virginia Sunday, Feb. 6.
