
NC State to Host No. 2 Texas Women, UNCW Men on Senior Night

RALEIGH – NC State welcomes the No. 2 Texas women and the UNC Wilmington men to the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center on Friday for its last dual meet of 2021-2022 regular season. The Wolfpack women and Pack men will face the Longhorn women and Seahawk men in a combined session beginning with diving at 3 p.m., followed by swimming at 4 p.m.Â
Sixteen NC State seniors will be recognized following the conclusion of the swimming competition.

All patrons will need to claim a free, virtual parking permit for Friday's meet. This permit is only valid for the Coliseum Parking Deck. Instructions on how to claim the virtual permit are found here. This permit is needed for anyone wishing to park before 5 p.m. on Friday.
Masks are required and enforced in all indoor spaces on campus, regardless of vaccination status.

MEET NOTEBOOK
- The Wolfpack's matchup marks its last dual meet of the regular season. Â
- The No. 3 Pack men hold a 6-0 winning record on the season after securing a 191-104 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers last weekend.
- The fifth-ranked Wolfpack women's only loss of the season was to No. 1 Virginia just under a week ago.Â
SCOUTING TEXAS
- The matchup marks the first dual meet between the Longhorns and Wolfpack in three years, where Texas topped NC State 168-130 during the February, 2019 meet.
- Texas began the season with a fifth place ranking in the CSCAA preseason poll. The Longhorns moved up to the No. 2 spot behind Virginia in November and have held strong in the position ever since.
- At the 2021 NCAA Championships, Texas trailed second place finisher NC State by just 9.5 points to record the team's first top-three finish in twenty years.
SCOUTING UNCW
- The Seahawks continue to make a name for themselves under Bobby Guntoro's second season as head coach of his alma mater.Â
- The UNCW men hold a 4-3 record on the season, with the most recent competition ending in a loss to the Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina earlier in the month.
- The dual marks NC State and UNCW's 25th meetup in program history.
