
No. 15 Rifle Drops Spring Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – No. 15 NC State rifle suffered a 4752-4664 loss to No. 5 Kentucky to open the spring portion of the 2021-22 schedule on Sunday inside of Tronsue Marksmanship Center held at Army.
The Wolfpack (1-6) recorded a season-high 2315 smallbore score and fired a 2349 air rifle total while the Wildcats (7-1) scored 2360 in smallbore and 2392 in air rifle to increase their win streak to five.
Addy Burrow continued her consistent shooting as she led the way with Ben Salas in smallbore with a 582, marking the fourth- and fifth-best smallbore individual scores. The 582 smallbore serves as a career-high mark for Salas. Travis Stockton added a 576 score to the Pack's total while Roman Karadsheh closed out scoring for NC State with a 575.
In air rifle, Katie Tedeschi led the way with 590. Karadsheh followed behind with a season-high performance with a score of 589. Both Burrow and Salas rounded out the scoring for NC State with a 585. Additionally, the duo led the team in aggregate posting an 1167.
