NC STATE IN NCAA REGIONAL PLAY
This is the 18th time in the last 20 seasons the tournament has been held that the Wolfpack will be represented in the postseason.
The team held a program-best eight-year streak from 2012-19 of earning an NCAA Regional team bid, and in that span reached the NCAA Championship on three separate occasions (2012, '14 and '15).
LOOKING AHEAD
Eighteen teams and six individuals not on a participating team will compete in the Columbus regional, and the top six teams and three individuals (not on a qualifying team) from the site will advance to the NCAA Championship May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
THE VICARIO RESUME
Vicario led the Pack this spring with a 73.93 stroke average in five tournaments and collected top 20 finishes in the final three. In the team's two match play outings, she won three of a possible combined five matches.
In her last time out, she finished T8th at the ACC Championship with a 216 (E), and made program history while doing so. Her opening-round of 69 (-3) was the second lowest in program history, her 54-hole score of 216 tied as the lowest total by a Wolfpack player while her T8th showing is the fourth-best individual finish among the program at the ACC Championship.
LAST TIME AT AN NCAA REGIONAL
This week will be Vicario's second career appearance at an NCAA Regional. Her last time competing in the event was in 2019 with the team in Norma, Okla., where she shot 72-75-70 to finish T19th with a one-over par 217 and was on the cusp of advancing to the NCAA Championship as an individual.
