GALARNEAU IN THE SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS

FIFTH YEAR WITH THE PACK
Galarneau returned to NC State to use the additional year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Laval, Canada, native has remained a rock for the squad as the team captain and put together a 10-3 dual match singles record in his final year with the Wolfpack.
The fifth year defeated five singles opponents in his 2021 campaign that included two top-25 wins. His highest-ranked win of the season came over then-No. 6 Richard Ciamarra of Notre Dame. Galarneau additionally compiled a 9-6 dual match doubles record that featured a 5-2 record in conference play.
SCOUTING BRYDE
Bryde maintains a 10-12 dual match singles record in the 2020-21 season that includes wins over four nationally ranked opponents. The junior played at the No. 1 singles position for entirety of the year.
The match will mark the second meeting between Galarneau and Bryde in 2021 as the duo competed against one another when NC State traveled to Georgia in January. Bryde took the match in a 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 decision.
UP NEXT
With a win over Bryde Sunday, Galarneau will face the winner of Adria Soriano Barrera of Miami and Millen Huron of Kentucky Monday, May 24.
