LAKE NONA, Fla. – NC State women's tennis' historic NCAA Championships run is not finished yet. The No. 6 Wolfpack (20-5) defeated third-ranked Georgia by a 4-2 score on Wednesday afternoon to secure a spot in the national semifinal and continue the deepest postseason run in NC State tennis history.
The Wolfpack becomes the sixth ACC team in league history to reach an NCAA Championships semifinal. The team's victory against the Bulldogs matched the highest ranked win in program history, tying last season's mark which was also set against the third-ranked 2020 Georgia squad.
NC State kicked off its quarterfinal outing by winning a crucial opening point, its seventh match in a row claiming the doubles decision. It was a tight battle across all three courts, but the Pack was able to earn wins on two and three to go up 1-0 as a team.
Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami put together an incredible comeback for the first win of the day. The fifth-ranked Wolfpack duo won five games in a row on their way to climbing out of an 0-3 deficit and beating Elena Christofi and Morgan Coppoc 6-4.

Almost immediately following, NC State freshmen Abigail Rencheli and Amelia Rajecki defeated Lea Ma and Meg Kowalski 7-5. The Pack's break on deciding point in the final game was the first break of serve in that entire match. Rencheli and Rajecki, who are ranked No. 42 nationally, won their 12th-straight doubles match to extend a streak that started on March 6.

Georgia got on the board in singles action as No. 4 Katarina Jokic defeated No. 6 Rogers in straight sets, but NC State had already managed to go up a set on three courts.
One of those courts was Reami's, where the fifth-year senior put together a dominant first frame over No. 20 Kowalski and did not look back. Reami came away with the 6-1, 6-4 victory in what marks the highest ranked win of her career.

Georgia added a point with a win on court six, but Rencheli showed tremendous poise on court five and gutted out a win over No. 52 Marta Gonzalez to call match. Gonzalez broke Rencheli to take a two-game lead to serve for the second set, but Rencheli broke back and then held to tie the score at 5-5 again. The Wolfpack freshman then took advantage of the big moment and completed the 6-3, 7-6 (6) victory to punch NC State's ticket to the Final Four.
