
Pack In Fourth Place with One Round Remaining at NCAA Kingston Springs Regional

KINGSTON SPRINGS, Tenn. – The NC State men's golf team shot a score of 288 in the second round Tuesday at the Golf Club of Tennessee and is in fourth place with one round remaining at the 2021 NCAA Kingston Springs Regional.
San Diego State shot a 276 on Tuesday to move into first place. Vanderbilt is in second place, two shots back of the Aztecs. Arkansas is in third place, four shots back of the Commodores and two shots in front of the Pack. Clemson and Charlotte are tied for fifth place, one shot back of NC State.
The top five teams, and the low individual not on one of those teams, will advance to the NCAA Championship.
Recent NC State graduate Easton Paxton led NC State on Tuesday with a two-under 68. He and sophomore Maximilian Steinlechner are tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard at two-under par for the tournament.
Christian Salzer shot the second-lowest score of the day for the Pack a 72 and is in 20th place at even-par for the tournament.
Benjamin Shipp is next for the Pack at two-over par for the tournament and is in a tie for 35th place.
Carter Graf rounds out the NC State lineup in a tie for 47th place at four-over par.
The third and final round begins for NC State at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The Pack will play with Clemson and Charlotte and the trio will start the day on the back nine off of hole 10.
