Galarneau, Babelis Earn Spots on All-ACC Teams

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Fifth year Alexis Galarneau and senior Tadas Babelis have each garnered a spot on the 2021 All-ACC teams.
Galarneau is only the second men's tennis student-athlete in NC State history to garner All-ACC honors four times.
Galarneau was named to the All-ACC First Team for the third-straight season and third time in his career. The Laval, Canada, native completed the year with a 10-2 dual match singles record that included six wins over ranked opponents. Playing at the number one position in singles, Galarneau was ranked throughout the entire season.
In doubles, he compiled a 10-7 record that featured just two conference losses. He was ranked with Robert Turzak in the Oracle/ITA doubles rankings for the duration of his 2021 campaign.
Babelis tabbed his second career Third Team All-ACC honors. The senior competed primarily and the number two and three positions in singles.
His 11-7 doubles record featured five wins over ranked opponents, and he was named ACC Doubles Team of the week two separate times during the 2021 season. Babelis was ranked with Yannai Barkai in doubles for the entirety of the 2021 season and with Robin Catry for the most recent five editions of the doubles rankings.
