Borisiouk Leads #23 Men’s Tennis to 4-3 Win Over #28 Clemson

RALEIGH – Down to the wire, senior captain Martin Borisiouk came through to secure the 4-3 win for the Pack over No. 28 Clemson at home on Sunday afternoon.
NC State men's tennis picked up its 10th win of the season on Sunday afternoon with a thrilling 4-3 win over 28th-ranked Clemson. The victory marks back-to-back wins to start conference play, each both being ranked match-ups.
The Pack claimed the doubles point thanks to a commanding 6-0 win by Martin Borisiouk and Jules Leroux on court one and a 6-3 win on court three by Cody Benton and Ainius Sabaliauskas.
With the 1-0 edge after doubles, the red-and-white lost on court three, but Darius Pop quickly followed behind with a two-set win on court six to propel the team score to 2-1.
On court four, Jules Leroux got it done 6-3, 6-2, to push the team score to 3-1 before Clemson secured the next two singles points tying it at 3-3.
Determining the team victory, all eyes looked to Martin Borisiouk and Noa Vukadin on court one. Clemson's Vukadin claimed the first set through a tiebreaker, forcing Borisiouk to battle back for the second. Ultimately, Borisiouk was entirely in charge of the third set, only dropping one game while clinching the match for his team.

The Pack heads south to face No. 45 Florida State on Friday in Tallahassee and No. 58 Miami in Coral Gables on Sunday.
