#23 Men’s Tennis Dominates #43 Georgia Tech in Conference Opener

RALEIGH – 23rd-ranked NC State men's tennis dominated 43rd-ranked Georgia Tech at home Friday evening in its first conference match of the season to improve to 9-1 and pick up its first ranked victory of the season.

NC State men's tennis claimed a victory in its first conference match-up of the 2025-26 season on Friday evening at home over No. 43 Georgia Tech. The squad claimed the doubles point and quickly found three two-set wins in singles to finish 4-0 over the Yellow Jackets.

The early moments of the doubles competition appeared to favor Georgia Tech across the three courts, but the Pack was able to clip its opponent's momentum to carry a lead across the board.

The strong new duo of Charlie Camus and William Manning bumped up to court two for the first time and clinched the point after Cody Benton and Ainius Sabaliauskas initially won court three.

Senior leader of the Pack, Martin Borisiouk, absolutely commanded his opponent, Christophe Clement, on court one, only giving up one game in two sets. His win pushed the scoreboard to 2-0.

Ainius Sabaliauskas on court three found the next point for the Wolfpack after defeating Jonathan Irwanto 6-4, 6-0. This was the first win for the freshman since the beginning of the month.

Ultimately, it was Jules Leroux who clinched the first ranked win for NC State this season after powering through a 6-3, 7-5 match on court four over Elias Shokry to keep Georgia Tech off the scoreboard entirely.

The Pack remains home to take on No. 28 Clemson on Sunday at noon before heading on the road next week.
