#23 Men’s Tennis Eases Past Elon at Home

RALEIGH – Back on the courts for the first time in nearly two weeks, 23rd-ranked NC State men's tennis added another win under its belt in conference play by defeating Elon 6-1 at home on Saturday.

NC State claimed the doubles point with control on courts three and one, while also holding the lead on court two.

Moving into singles action, ranked players No. 104 William Manning and No. 117 Jules Leroux on courts three and four picked up the first singles points to extend the lead for the squad to 3-0.

15th-ranked Martin Borisiouk on court one had the only ranked match-up of the day, which was a 7-5, 6-0 victory over No. 106 Veljko Krstic.

Closing it out for the Pack were the freshmen Charlie Camus and Darius Pop on courts five and six, who each picked up straight set wins.

The Pack only dropped one point to the Phoenix, which was a hard-fought battle on court two by Ainius Sabaliauskas.

Up Next
The Pack moves into conference action by hosting No. 57 Georgia Tech on Friday at 4 p.m., followed by No. 28 Clemson on Sunday at 12 p.m.
