REGULAR SEASON REVIEW:
NC State finished the regular season 16-4 overall and a 10-3 mark in ACC play. The Pack has secured 10+ conference wins in each of the last two completed dual match campaigns. NC State defeated seven nationally-ranked opponents during the regular season.
After splitting its first four conference matches of the season, the Wolfpack put together a seven-game winning streak that included six-straight ACC victories from March 12 through April 1. In the midst of that streak, NC State most notably earned big 4-3 road wins at No. 29 Miami and No. 13 Duke.
NC State headed into the final match of the regular season tied in the ACC standings with Virginia, and its 4-3 win over the Cavaliers pushed the Pack into sole possession of third place. The Pack earned a double bye in the ACC Tournament for the second time in a row.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
For the third week in a row, the NC State women's tennis team moved up in the national team rankings as it reached a season-best No. 4 in Wednesday's release of the Oracle ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The Wolfpack has spent back-to-back weeks in the top five and has been featured in the national top 15 every week since Feb. 26, 2019.
NC State has three active ranked doubles pairs: Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami (No. 4), Anna Rogers and Alana Smith (No. 11) and Amelia Rajecki and Abigail Rencheli (No. 73). Rogers (No. 5), Smith (No. 21) and Rencheli (No. 103) are all ranked in singles as well.
ACC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY:
Since the ACC Women's Tennis Championships took the current bracket-style format in 1990, NC State has appeared in the league tournament every season. The Pack has appeared in two semifinals in program history (1995 and 1998) and has never advanced to the championship match.
