Pack Tied for Sixth After Day One at Hootie Intercollegiate

Shipp and Steinlechner both shot under-par to lead NC State

Awendaw, S.C. – The NC State men's golf team shot one-under par and is in a tie for sixth place out of 16 teams after the first round of the Hootie Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay on Sunday.
Kent State has the lead after one round after going 10-under par. Missouri is second at six-under par and Auburn is in third at five-under par. NC State is tied for sixth place with College of Charleson at one-under par and is just four shots back of third-place Auburn.
Benjamin Shipp and Max Steinlechner led the Pack on day one with both shooting a one-under par 71. The duo is tied for 16th place.
Carter Graf went even-par and is tied for 26th place.
Christian Salzer shot a one-over par 73 and is in a tie for 37th place.
Easton Paxton rounds out the NC State lineup in a tie for 57th place at three-over par.
Nick Matthews, playing unattached this weekend, shot a five-over par 77 and is in a tie for 78th place.
The second round at Bulls Bay starts Monday morning with the first NC State golfer going off at 9:45 a.m.
