LAST TIME OUT
NC State dropped a tight contest to No. 1 Clemson last Saturday night, falling by a 1-0 score as the Tigers scored the game-winner in the 86th minute. Two of the Pack's five shots in the outing were on target.
TRACKING THE PACK
• The Wolfpack has now faced six national top-five opponents, with that number including two meetings with the nation's No. 1 teams at the time. NC State has come away with the draw in two of those games (at No. 5 UNC and at No. 4 Wake Forest) and fell by just one goal in two of the other outings (vs. No. 3 Clemson, at No. 1 Clemson).
• A total of 21 players have made appearances for NC State, with five of those marking Wolfpack debuts.
• Leon Krapf made a career-high seven saves during the Pack's Oct. 23 match against Clemson. His six first-half stops tied his previous career high, which he'd set on two occasions during the 2018 campaign.
• Krapf has shut out four opponents this season - UNC (0-0) on Nov. 1, UAB (2-0) on Feb. 20, VCU (1-0) on Feb. 24 and Wake Forest (0-0) on March 13. In his 49-game career, he has put together 18 games in which he did not concede a goal.
• The Wolfpack's 86 shot attempts have been distributed among 16 players, led by 15 strikes from Muskwe.
• NC State's six goals on the year have come from the feet or heads of four different players - Alex Bautista (1), Ivy Brisma (2), Kuda Muskwe (2) and Tal Segev (1).
SCOUTING SYRACUSE
• Syracuse is also seeking its first ACC win of the season. Its sole victory on the year came against Hofstra at the start of spring play.
• The Orange most recently faced off against No. 15 UNC, with the teams ending that outing in a 0-0 2OT draw. That result was its first clean sheet of the season.
SERIES HISTORY
• NC State is 2-5-2 all time against Syracuse.
• The Pack's last win in the series came on the road on Oct. 6, 2017 in a game that NC State won by a 2-1 score.
• The teams have played at least once every season since 2013.
UP NEXT
NC State will play its final home game against Duke on Saturday, April 3, with that match set to kick off at 7 p.m. from Dail Soccer Stadium.
