Pack has a 14-shot lead on team leaderboard while Shipp has a six-shot lead in individual race

STATESBORO, GA – Benjamin Shipp shot a six-under par 66 for the second consecutive day and the NC State men's golf team increased its lead to 14 shots on Saturday in the second round of the 41st annual Schenkel Invitational played at Forest Heights Country Club.
The Pack is 25-under as a team through two rounds and has a 14-shot lead over tournament-host Georgia Southern. Furman is in third place, 16 shots back of NC State.
Shipp has opened up a six-shot lead on the field as the NC State graduate is now 12-under for the tournament. On Saturday, he opened with four birdies on the front nine and had an eagle on the 12th hole to move to six-under on the day. He bogeyed the 13th hole, his first bogey of the tournament, but recovered four pars and a birdie on the last five holes to go into the clubhouse with his second consecutive round of 66.
Carter Graf and Max Steinlechner are part of a six-way tie for second-place. Graf posted a three-under par 69 for the second consecutive day to move up four spots on the day. After shooting a five-under 67 on Friday, Steinlechner again went under-par on Saturday, finishing with a 71 to sit at six-under after two rounds..
Christian Salzer is tied for 15th place at one-under par for the tournament. The NC State graduate shot a one-over par 73 on Saturday.
Easton Paxton rounds out the NC State lineup in a tie for 26th place at two-over par for the tournament.
Ethan Choi, playing unattached, is tied for 36th place at four-over par.
The third and final round begins Sunday morning. NC State will tee off at 10:00 a.m.
