NC State started the day with five wrestlers in the quarterfinals, and three more in the consolation rounds.

Camacho dropped his quarterfinals match against #3 seed Courtney, 4-2. Both wrestlers got escapes and it was tied 1-1 early in the third, but Courtney got the bout's lone takedown in the third and added the ride time point.
Wilson was the first Pack wrestler to clinch a spot into tonight's semifinals. After an escape in the second period, Wilson scored the lone takedown of the bout at the end of the second period and scored a 3-1 win over Woods. For the second time in his career he advanced to the NCAA Semifinals, and for the third time earned All-American honors.

Trent Hidlay became the third Wolfpack wrestler to advance to the NCAA Semifinals, with a 3-1 decision over #7 seed Wilson. After a scoreless first, Hidlay opened the second with an escape and his takedown at the buzzer of the second period was the lone of the match.

Trombley opened his day with a win, 4-0 over Allen. Trombley scored an escape and the bout's lone takedown in the second period, and also used the ride time point for the shutout.
Bullard scored an early takedown and racked up 2:47 of ride time in the first period, to open the Pack's afternoon session with a 9-1 major decision. Bullard added a pair of takedowns in the third period and totaled 4:36 of ride time overall.
Deonte Wilson's tournament came to an end after a first period pin at heavyweight.
THIRD ROUND CONSOLATION RECAP
133 | #19 seed Chance Rich (Cal State Bakersfield) dec. #12 seed Jarrett Trombley - 5-3
165 | #9 seed Luke Weber (North Dakota State) dec. #12 seed Thomas Bullard – 2-1
Trombley was eliminated one match away from the Blood Round. Trombley started with a takedown, but got reversed and Rich got a two-point near fall off the move in the first.
Thomas Bullard suffered his second loss, as Weber got the bout's lone takedown in the second period for the 2-1 win.
