Women's Soccer Opens Season With 2-0 Win Over Old Dominion

RALEIGH - The NC State women's soccer team (1-0-0) opened its spring season on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 win over Old Dominion (1-1-0) at Dail Soccer Stadium.
Denae Antoine, Maria Echezarreta, Sandra Geiselhart, Margot Ridgeway and Mia Vaughan all made their first official starts in a Wolfpack uniform, while every available field player saw playing time throughout the match.
Jameese Joseph scored an unassisted goal in the 68th minute to put the Pack on the board. In the 80th minute, Antoine doubled her team's lead when she found the back of the net off of a Leyah Hall-Robinson assist.
The Pack returns to play Feb. 10 versus UNCW. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Dail Soccer Field, and the match will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
