Klyman Named To 2021 NCBWA Stopper Of The Year Preseason Watch List

RALEIGH – Senior Kent Klyman of the NC State baseball team has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
This is the third consecutive year that Klyman has been featured on the watch list. The award is given annually to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.
In the shortened 2020 season, Klyman made five appearances out of the bullpen and compiled a 1.42 earned-run average in 6.1 innings pitched. He picked up back-to-back saves on Feb. 14 and 15 versus James Madison.
