Tuohy Named ACC Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sophomore Katelyn Tuohy has been named ACC Indoor Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The honor is the first of Tuohy's career.

The indoor track & field season opened on Friday, Dec. 4 for Tuohy as she competed in the 3000m at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. In that race, the Stony Point, N.Y., native posted an 8:54.18 that broke American U20, ACC, program and personal records.

All four records were improved by at least two seconds, and Tuohy's personal best was brought down by approximately 25 seconds. She earned a fourth-place finish with the run and was one of four NC State runners to post a time under a previous school record at the meet.
