
No. 14 Rifle Comes Up Short Against No. 4 Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – No. 14 NC State rifle fell on the road to No. 4 Ole Miss, 4725-4635 on Saturday.
The Wolfpack (0-2) recorded a 2290 smallbore and a 2345 air rifle score while the Rebels (4-1) tallied a 2350 smallbore and a 2375 air rifle to hold off the Pack.
Leading the way for the Pack in smallbore was Ben Salas who placed sixth individually with a career-high mark of 580. Roman Karadsheh was close behind as he fired a career-high tying 577 to place eighth in the discipline. Rounding out the scoring for NC State were both freshmen Sam Burrow (568) and Katie Tedeschi (565).
In air rifle, Tedeschi improved her personal best score as she recorded a 593 that included a perfect fourth and fifth series for an aggregate score of 1158. Addy Burrow racked up a 591 with a perfect fifth series. Salas fired a 584 in the discipline to register a career-high 1164 aggregate score. Both Karadsheh and Sam Burrow posted an air rifle total of 577.
Salas fired the top aggregate score for the Pack, allowing him to place seventh individually in the match. Tedeschi cracked the top-10 as well as she landed in ninth place.
