#Pack9 Checks In At No. 17 On Baseball America’s 2021 Preseason Poll

RALEIGH – Baseball America released its 2021 Preseason Top 25 poll on Monday morning, and the NC State baseball team checked in at No. 17.
It marks the fourth preseason poll that the Wolfpack has been featured in. The squad is also ranked 13th on Collegiate Baseball and DI Baseball's preseason lists, as well as No. 16 on Perfect Game's Preseason College Top 25.
Additionally, this is the 19th-straight year the squad has either started or finished the season nationally ranked.
The Wolfpack finished 14-3 in the shortened 2020 season, highlighted by a 12-0 start for the second-straight year, and finished as high as No. 9 nationally while staying ranked by all six major polls the entire season. In 2019, NC State posted a 42-19 record and earned its ninth NCAA Regional bid in the last 10 years.
The team returns 25 players from last season, including All-ACC performer and freshman All-American Tyler McDonough (2019) and Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American Jose Torres (2020). NC State additionally welcomes 12 freshmen and junior college transfer Danny Carnazzo to the 2021 roster.
NC State recently announced its 2021 ACC schedule, and is set to host six three-game weekend series at Doak Field at Dail Park. Its nonconference schedule will be released at a later time.
