Rifle Kicks Off Spring Portion of Schedule

RALEIGH – After opening the 2021 schedule ranked 12th in the CRCA Top-20 poll, the NC State rifle team is set to open the spring portion of its 2020-21 schedule this weekend with a pair of top-20 match ups. The Wolfpack will open the weekend with Jan. 19 with a Saturday matchup against #19 UT Martin, followed by a meeting with #3 Ole Miss on Sunday.
Both contests are scheduled to take place on the campus of Ole Miss.
NC State averaged a 4660 in its four contests from the fall slate, including a 4673 against North Georgia. The 4673 tied the third-highest score in program history and marked the highest score to date in the month of October.
Addy Burrow is currently averaging an 1174 aggregate score which ranks 13th nationally. Additionally, Burrow finished in the top-three in every match from the fall.
UT Martin averaged a 4567 in the fall with its season high 4592 coming at Murray State on Oct. 25.
Ole Miss averaged a 4699 and peaked in the fall at a No. 1 ranking, the highest in Rebels history.
The Wolfpack announced its full Spring 2021 schedule portion earlier this week, which includes five matches against top-20 teams. Following this weekend, NC State will travel to face Nebraska on Jan. 24 in Murray, Ky.
