OXFORD, MISS. – The 12^th-ranked NC State rifle team broke a four-year old program record Saturday afternoon on the team's way to a 4668-4534 victory over UT Martin. The Wolfpack posted a 2367 in air rifle, besting the previous school record by one point. The previous school record, 2366, was set on Oct. 15 2016 against West Virginia.

Five of the program's top-10 air rifle scores have now come under the direction of head coach, Emily Holsopple. Saturday's aggregate score of 4668 also ranks as the sixth-highest in program history.

The Wolfpack were led with an outstanding performance by redshirt freshman Travis Stockton who posted a 597 which ties for second all-time at NC State. Stockton becomes the second NC State athlete to record a 597 or better in air rifle, behind Olympian Lucas Kozeniesky who did so four time during his collegiate career. Koziensky also holds the program air rifle record, 599.

Stockton also won the aggregate with a personal-best 1168. His air rifle performance included three perfect series. NC State swept the aggregate, tallying the top four spots with Katie Torrence, Addy Burrow and Ben Salas finishing behind Stockton, respectively.

NC State has a quick turnaround with a matchup tomorrow against No. 3 Ole Miss.
