Five Members of the Pack Honored as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes

Men's and women's teams earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognitions
NEW ORLEANS – Five members of the NC State men's and women's track and field teams earned recognition as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athletes, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
The Wolfpack women (3.284 team GPA) and the Pack men (3.025 team GPA) also earned distinction as 2020 All-Academic Teams. It marked the fourth season in a row that the women's squad has garnered team academic honors.
Jamar Davis (business), Nevada Mareno (fashion and textile management) and Savannah Shaw (business) led the way for the Pack as repeat award recipients after also being honored in 2019.
Michelle Cobb (nutrition science) and Kelsey Chmiel (animal science) joined them as first-time honorees.
To qualify to be a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, the members of the Pack each compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and met one of the following athletic standards:
In order to be considered as an All-Academic Team, a program must compile a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

- Finished the indoor track and field season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event
- Finished the indoor track and field season ranked in the top 48 in any championship relay event
