Three from Track and Field Earn USTFCCCA All-America Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The NC State track and field team has received three U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America citations for the 2019-20 indoor season, as announced the organization on Tuesday.
Cravont Charleston (60m), Kelsey Chmiel (5000m) and Michelle Cobb (triple jump) earned the status.
All invdividuals listed on the startlist at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships qualified as All-Americans. A total of 671 honors were handed out to 119 different institutions on Tuesday.
Charleston secured his second appearance in the 60m dash at the championships in as many years. The Charlotte, N.C., native earned Second Team All-America honors last season. The five-time ACC Champion added another to his collection with a 6.58 clip in the finals at the 2020 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Chmiel was set to make her freshman debut at the indoor championships. The Saratoga, N.Y., native has had a successful start to her collegiate career, earning All-America honors during the 2019 cross country season.
Cobb was also going compete at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Indoor Championship for the first time. The junior earned her third consecutive all-conference accolades in the event this past weekend at the ACC Championship.
