HOW IT HAPPENED
-It only took three at bats for the Aggies to strike first. With runners at the corners on a hit-by-pitch and single to right field, Dustin Baber's sac fly brought the first run of the game across.
-The Pack responded in the bottom frame to tie it up. Austin Murr led off with a base hit to center field, and a balk and groundout moved him to third before Jonny Butler's single to center field drove him in.
-Terrell Tatum gave NC State the narrow 2-1 lead in the second. He took first on a swinging strikeout wild pitch, advanced to second on a sac bunt, then after he threatened on Noah Soles' single to left field, a wild pitch scored him.
-A&T knotted the score back up in the fourth on Shane Faulk's double to right center after a pair of errors put runners on base.
-NC State managed to earn its one-run lead back in the bottom half of the fourth when Tatum crossed home plate again for the Pack. He drew a one-out walk and stole second, then after a passed ball put him on third, Soles' single up the middle brought him home.
-The Aggies tied it up at 3-3 in the fifth on Alex Bibb's sac fly to right field after a pair of hits put runners in scoring position.
-In the sixth, Faulk scored on a wild pitch after hitting a one-out double and stealing third, giving A&T its second lead of the night.
-Once again, the Pack erased its deficit in the sixth on Murr's sac fly and Tyler McDonough's single to center field with runners in scoring position.
-A&T's Justin Rodriguez knocked in the run in the seventh that tied the game at five, as a pair of errors and groundout put a runner at third prior to his single to right field.
-Baber's 2-RBI single in the eighth gave A&T its largest lead of the night, as Faulk and Tony Mack reached on an error and walk, respectively, and a sac bunt started the threat.
-In the bottom of the ninth, McDonough led off with a double to left center and scored on Luca Tresh's single to left field to make it a one-run game.
-After Lawson McArthur came in to pinch run at first, Devonte Brown laced a one-out double down the left field line to put runners at second and third.
-Pinch hitter Patrick Bailey was intentionally walked, and with the bases loaded for Jarrett, he battled on a nine-pitch at bat and roped a 2-RBI walk-off hit to right center for the win.
