
Hartl Continues Strong Play At UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. – NC State women's golf's Monika Hartl kept up her strong play at the UCF Challenge on Monday as she carded a one-under par 71 for the second consecutive day. Hosted by UCF at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Orlando, Fla., she remains in a tie for 11th place with a two-under par 142 out of 91 players among the individual standings.
Dating back to the 2019 fall portion of the season, this is the third consecutive under par round she has shot, as she also fired a 71 (-1) at the Landfall Tradition on Oct. 27.
As a team, the Wolfpack remains in 12th place out of 16 teams with a 17-over 593 after turning in a team score of 299 (+11) on Monday. Miami (567, -9) took over the top spot of the team standings, while No. 3 Kent State and No. 13 Michigan State (568, -8) are tied for second.
Natalie Armbruester posted a three-over 75 and is in a tie for 40th with a 147 total, while Inja Fric turned in another 76 to settle in a tie for 68th with a 152 (+8). Lea Klimentova and Pilar Berchot carded scores of 77 and 82, respectively, for two-day scores of 153 and 157 (+13).
Mim Sangkapong, who is competing as an individual this week, posted a one-over 73 to move into a tie for 40th with Armbruester.
NC State will wrap up competition Tuesday at the UCF Challenge in an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
