#4 NC State Opens ACC Play on the Road

RALEIGH -- The No. 4 NC State women's tennis team is set to open Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play this weekend with a pair of matches at Notre Dame (Friday, Feb. 21) and at Louisville (Sunday, Feb. 23).
The Wolfpack enters the weekend at 13-2, good for its best 15-match start in the history of the program.

ACC OPENER:
This weekend marks the Packs opening to conference play. Last season, the squad notched its highest regular-season finish ever, ending in a tie for third place. NC State went 11-3 against ACC opponents last regular season, including a win against Miami for the first time in program history and a win at Georgia Tech, which had not been accomplished since 1995.
The team's 11 conference wins set the new record in the category.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 4 in this week's Oracle/ITA Division I rankings, good for the highest ranking in program history. It eclipses last week's No. 5 mark. Five players are featured in the individual rankings for the Pack.
In doubles, Anna Rogers and Alana Smith are tabbed at No. 2, and Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami check in at No. 13
In singles, Smith (No. 16), Rogers (No. 32), Reami (No. 37) and Liz Norman (No. 98) round out the rankings.
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State picked up two wins last weekend in Texas against Texas Tech, 5-2, and Abilene Christian, 7-0. Eight members of the squad saw playing time between the two matches combined.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME:
Notre Dame enters the weekend at 7-3.
NC State leads the all-time series, 4-3, and has won the last four matchups. Last season the Pack earned a 5-2 win.
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE:
Louisville sits at 7-1 on the season.
NC State leads the all-time series, 5-2, and has won the last five matchups. The Pack earned a 6-1 victory at home in its 2019 matchup.
