SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The No. 4 NC State women's tennis team moved to 14-2 on Friday in its ACC opener at No. 32 Notre Dame. The 4-3 victory marked head coach Simon Earnshaw's 100th career win at NC State. He is just the second coach to reach the accomplishment in program history (Hans Olsen, 138).
Junior Lexi Keberle delivered the final blow on court four to clinch the match for the Pack after being down 3-5 in the final set.
13th-ranked Adriana Reami and Jaeda Daniel moved to 9-0 in dual season with a win on court two in doubles, but the squad would drop the doubles point and needed to take four courts in singles.
NC State split the opening sets with Notre Dame, but No. 32 Anna Rogers, No. 37 Adriana Reami, Keberle and Daniel got the job done in singles. The win marked the team's second consecutive win in an ACC opener and the team's fifth ranked win of the season.
