ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The NC State track and field team was represented in long jump on Thursday to open the Don Kirby Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

On the men's side, Von Douglas and Jamar Davis posted top-nine marks in the opening three attempts to move onto the final. Douglas earned fourth-place honors with a 24'4.25" (7.42m) jump. Davis trailed close behind, jumping for 23'10.75", good for sixth place.

Jirah Sidberry earned a top-25 finish in a field of over 50 athletes. The freshman recorded an 18'5.25" (5.62m) jump on her first attempt.
