
Pentathlon Athletes set PRs at Queens Multi-Events

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Mikieja Covington and Timara Chapman secured top-15 pentathlon finishes in a field of over 30 competitors on Tuesday at the Queens Multi-Events.
Covington set two new PRs on the day. She bested her personal-best mark in the 60 meter hurdles, clocking in at 8.77. In shot put competition, she recorded a 40'0.5" (12.20m) mark, earning first-place honors in the event.
In long jump, Chapman recorded an 18'9.75" (5.73m) mark, earning first-place honors in the event with a PR.
