#Pack9, Tresh Collect Preseason Honors From Collegiate Baseball

TUCSON, Ariz. – The NC State baseball team recently checked in at No. 13 on Collegiate Baseball's 2021 Preseason Poll, marking the fifth consecutive season the #Pack9 has been featured on the publication's preseason poll and 19th-straight year the squad has either started or finished the season nationally ranked.
Additionally, catcher Luca Tresh has been named a Preseason Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball. It is the first honor of his collegiate career.
The Wolfpack finished 14-3 in the shortened 2020 season, highlighted by a 12-0 start for the second-straight year, and finished as high as No. 9 nationally while staying ranked by all six major polls the entire season.
NC State is one of five ACC teams ranked in the top 25 of Collegiate Baseball's preseason poll, while a combined nine teams from the league appear in the top 50.
Despite missing the first six games, Tresh appeared in the last 11 of the season and earned the starting nod in eight of them. He led the squad with a .405 batting average and turned in seven multi-hit and four multi-RBI performances. While finishing the year on a seven-game reached base streak, he had a career-high 4-for-5 outing vs. Coastal Carolina on March 4.
