Pack Competes in Pentathlon at Texas Tech Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas – Mikieja Covington and Timara Chapman opened competition at the Texas Tech Invitational on Thursday as Covington completed all five events to secure a top-10 pentathlon finish with a score of 3,682.
Covington's 8.66 mark in the 60m hurdles registered as a personal-best in the event and fifth-fastest in school history.
Chapman made her way into the school's top-10 in high jump with a new PR. On her fifth jump she recorded a 5'7.25" (1.71m) mark.
In long jump competition, both Pack athletes posted top-10 school marks. Chapman's 18'10.75" (5.76m) jump earned her third place on her way to a new personal-best. Covington recorded an 18'8.75" (5.71m) jump.
