Rifle Records Third-Highest Score of the Season

OXFORD, MISS. – In its second-straight weekend with a pair of top-20 opponents, #13 NC State opened with its third-highest score of the season, 4655, on Saturday. The Wolfpack improved it's NCAA Qualifying average to 4665. The first 50% of the NCAA Qualifying average is made up of the top three scores from different locations, while the remaining half is the NCAA Qualifier competition which takes place on Feb. 22.

Sophomore Emily Fisher continues her strong campaign with a second place aggregate finish, shooting a 1174. Her 1174 was just one mark off her career high of 1175. Fisher also recorded the highest smallbore score of the day, 583.

NC State continues the weekend with a matchup against #17 UT Martin tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 26. The Wolfpack will then return to Reynolds Coliseum for its final home match of the season, Feb. 2 against Nebraska.

Behind Fisher's team-leading 583 in smallbore, Makenzie Sheffield took fifth with a score of 577
Addy Burrow, Aliya Butt and John Peterson all tallied 569 in smallbore
Fisher shot two-consecutive 99's in both prone series

AIR RIFLE NOTES

Burrow recorded a team-high 593 in air rifle, tying her career high for second place
Fisher rounded out the top-five with a fourth place finish and a 591 score
Burrow, Butt and Fisher all recorded at least one perfect series in air rifle
Zanti shot a season-best 586 in air rifle, two marks shy of her career-high
