Pack Tracks
- NC State gutted out a 53-51 win at Virginia on Monday night to win its third consecutive game. The win was the first for NC State at Virginia since March 2, 2005 and the first for the Pack in John Paul Jones Arena (opened in 2006).
- Junior forward D.J. Funderburk led the Pack in scoring for the sixth time in seven games after scoring 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The Cleveland, Ohio native was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and had 12 points in the first half. Senior guard C.J. Bryce added 13 points and was the only other NC State player in double figures.
- Senior guard Markell Johnson had five assists and zero turnovers in 38 minutes of action and NC State committed a season-low tying six turnovers in the win.
- Funderburk is playing the best basketball of his collegiate career currently. The Cleveland, Ohio native is averaging 16.6 points and 8 rebounds per game over the last six outings and has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games. In ACC games, Funderburk leads the conference in field goal percentage (57.8%) and ranks fourth in offensive rebounding (3.0). He has shot over 50 percent in 14 of the 17 games he's played in this season. He is shooting 64.1% from the field on the season and would lead the ACC in that category but he is only averaging 4.82 field goals made per game and needs to average 5.0 field goals to be ranked.
Saturday Storylines
- NC State has held four consecutive opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the field. It marks the first time in at least 30 years that NC State has held four consecutive ACC opponents to under 40 percent shooting.
- In its last two games, the Pack held Clemson to 54 points and Virginia to 51 points. It's the first time since February 2015 that the Pack has held consecutive ACC opponents to under 60 points (2/21/15 69-53 win over Virginia Tech and 2/24/15 58-46 win at North Carolina). NC State hasn't held three consecutive ACC opponents under 60 points since a three-game stretch from Jan. 22, 2000-to-February 2, 2000.
- NC State only had seven scholarship players dressed in uniform in the win over Virginia on Monday with Pat Andree and Manny Bates both missing the game because of injuries suffered in the win over Clemson on Jan. 18. Andree and Bates are both questionable for the game against Georgia Tech on Saturday. This season, NC State has already had six scholarship players miss at least one game because of injury. Last season, NC State only had seven different starting lineup combinations in 36 games.

- Kevin Keatts has a 25-19 record in ACC regular season games. Georgia Tech is one of two teams (Virginia Tech is the other) that Keatts hasn't beaten in his time with the Pack.
- In the three losses to Georgia Tech under Keatts, NC State has led at halftime of all three games and has had the lead with under two minutes to play in all three games. Overall, NC State has led for a total of 74:12 minutes of game action in the last three games against the Yellow Jackets. The total margin of defeat in the three games for the Pack is six points.
- Senior guard Markell Johnson enters Saturday's game with 995 career points. He is five points shy of 1,000 for his career. When he reaches 1,000 points, he'll become the 53rd player in program history to score 1,000 points and just the 4th player in program history to post 1,000 points, 500 assists and 125 steals in their career.
- In the first 46 games of his NC State career, junior forward D.J. Funderburk only led the Pack in scoring one time. After a team-high 14 points on Monday in the win over Virginia, Funderburk has now led NC State in scoring in six of the last seven games.
