RALEIGH --The NC State track and field team is set to compete at the Hokie Invitational Jan. 24-25 in Blacksburg, Va., at the Rector Field House.

Thirteen schools have placed entries in the meet: Virginia Tech, Virginia, UNC, NC State, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, North Carolina A&T, Elon, East Carolina, High Point, Radford, Georgetown and VCU.

Three squad members have posted top-10 national marks. Cravont Charleston's 6.59 performance in the 60m ranks second as the lone top-10 national track time for the Pack.

In jumps, the Pack is represented by Michelle Cobb (sixth, 42'11") and Chris Alexander (ninth, 25'2.5").

LAST TIME OUT:
Charleston ran what was currently the fastest 60m dash time in the nation at the Gamecock Opener, crossing the finish line in 6.59. He captured one of the Pack's six total event titles of the weekend.

Kayla Beasley impressed with first-place finishes in the women's weight throw and shot put, and teammate Cobb claimed top honors in the women's triple jump. Rounding out the women was Anna Vess, who earned a gold-medal finish in the mile.

On the men's side, Alexander's long jump performance helped him join Charleston as an event champion.
