
#8 NC State Opens Season with Two Wins on Wednesday

RALEIGH – The No. 8 NC State women's tennis team (2-0) opened the dual season with two wins on Wednesday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, taking down Furman and East Tennessee State. Four players went 2-0 in singles play for NC State: No. 31 Alana Smith, No. 23 Adriana Reami, Lexi Keberle and Liz Norman.
Furman and East Tennessee State both drop to 0-1 on the season.
No. 1 Anna Rogers and Smith went undefeated together in doubles on Wednesday.
NC STATE vs. FURMAN:
NC State quickly took the doubles point to give itself a 1-0 advantage leading into singles play. Rogers and Smith, the top-ranked doubles tandem in the nation, took down its fourth ranked opponent of the season in 23rd-ranked Madison Dillon and Julie Adams.
NC STATE vs. EAST TENNESSEE STATE:
The Pack cruised to its second doubles point of the day under the lights on Wednesday and ended the doubleheader with a victory.
